Nixon-Skinner Conservation Park is small - just 8 hectares - but historically significant as the first nature reserve in South Australia to be voluntarily donated to the public from private hands, by Frank Nixon and George Skinner in 1956. It set the precedent for a long line of privately-gifted conservation properties.
What's there
A short walking track leads through remnant bushland on the southern shore of Myponga Reservoir. The reserve is small but pleasant for a quiet half-hour walk; usually paired with a longer walk in the adjacent Myponga Reservoir Reserve.
