G T Fisher Train Playground
A renovated nature playground on the Victor Harbor foreshore featuring its iconic decommissioned steam locomotive - a much-loved family stop.
A train you can climb
The G T Fisher Playground sits on the Victor Harbor foreshore, just a short walk from the Granite Island causeway. The centrepiece is a real decommissioned steam locomotive - the G T Fisher - that kids can climb on and explore. The locomotive sat on the foreshore for decades and was incorporated into a recent nature playground rebuild.
What else is there
Nature play timber climbing structures, slides, a sand pit and a separate toddler area, all set under shade trees. Picnic tables and toilets nearby. The horse tram and the Cockle Train both pass within a few hundred metres.
