Bullock Hill Conservation Park
A small reserve south of Strathalbyn with three loop hikes through heathland, eucalypt and native grasses, with summit views over Lake Alexandrina and the Coorong.
Three short hikes
Bullock Hill Conservation Park sits between Strathalbyn and Currency Creek and protects a small area of remnant native vegetation on a low rise. Three signposted loop walks - the Heathland Loop, the Eucalypt Loop and the Native Grasses Loop - lead through different vegetation types, each less than an hour return.
The view
From the high point of the park you can see east to Lake Alexandrina, south-east to the Coorong, and west toward the Mount Lofty Ranges. Good kangaroo country - western greys are usually visible at dawn and dusk.
Practical
Free entry, basic carpark. Quiet - you will rarely meet other walkers.
